Plain Waffles with Crispy Bacon and Maple Syrup
Super easy to prepare using our EK2249 Deep Fill Waffle Maker
Ingredients
250 g plain flour
360 ml whole milk
2 large eggs
6 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp white sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt
Crispy bacon (cooked), to serve
Maple syrup, to serve
Method
Step 1: Using a large mixing bowl, combine together the plain flour, white sugar, baking powder and salt
Step 2: In a separate bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the eggs until fluffy. Add the melted butter, vanilla extract and whole milk and mix to combine.
Step 3: Transfer the dry ingredients into the mixing bowl of wet ingredients and combine.
Step 4: Lightly grease the non-stick coated cooking plates.
Step 5: Preheat the waffle maker.
Step 6: Pour the waffle batter into the centre of each non-stick coated cooking plate, until they are approx. ¾ full.
Step 7: Carefully close the lid and cook for approx. 5 minutes, until golden brown.
Step 8: Top with the rashers of crispy bacon and a drizzle of maple syrup.
Tip: Swap crispy bacon and maple syrup for another delicious topping!
