#### An unexpected purchase

I was staying at Sheldon Retreat Centre in a pig pen m( the centre was originally a farm. ) Home made meals were provided which just needed heating up. Freah vegetables from the garden or local suppliers supplemented them. As I aged I had noticed my hands were losing strength and my microwave at home with a push button to open it was becoming more difficult to use. Having a microwave in my accommodation which just need a pull to open it was so easy. I took the details and measurements and ordered one as soon as I arrived home. A neighbour volunteers for a charity which, amongst other things, provides equipment for people who are “ rehomed” i from bed and breakfast accommodation into a completely bare flat,so I knew my old microwave would find a good home. As I am learning to do other things than heat up pre- cooked meals, I am finding it easy to use. The instruction book which came with it is very short on instructions, particularly about the control knob which has much more detail than The one I used at the retreat centre. Maybe there are more details online, I haven’t really had time to look yet. However, I am very please with my new, unexpected purchase.

Colour is great, unfortunately the microwave does not heat anything up, we have to try and send it back. (although salter have not got back to me yet. ) The toaster cooks one side on the bread! kettle boils water at least. It looks great but practically it just doesn't ft into a busy family kitchen.
