Over the years I've bought many kitchen knife sharpeners all of which have been pretty ineffective. I well remember an electric knife shapener my parents had which contained a grindstone that always sharpened knives very successfully. This product from Salter was the closest equivalent I could find to it and I'm very pleased with the results.
