No, these Salt & Pepper Shakers are manual, therefore don't require any batteries!
Salt & Pepper Shakers are filled with pre-ground salt, pepper and seasonings. Whereas Salt & Pepper Mills require a twist motion to freshly grind the seasoning into smaller pieces.
To clean these Salt & Pepper Shakers, wipe them with a soft, damp cloth and allow to dy thoroughly. Do not immerse them in water or use chemical/abrasive cleaning agents and do not put them in the dishwasher.
Our Salt & Pepper Shakers have been designed to make refilling as easy as possible. To do so, simply remove the rubber stopper from the bottom of the shakers, then add your salt or ground pepper.
