Chocolate Waffles

Super easy to prepare using our EK2249 Deep Fill Waffle Maker  choholate-waffles.jpg


220 g plain flour
50 g cocoa powder
45 g chocolate chips
3 large eggs
420 ml whole milk
6 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp white sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt 


Step 1: In a large bowl, mix together the plain flour, white sugar, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder and chocolate chips
Step 2: Using a separate mixing bowl, beat the eggs until fluffy. Add the melted butter, vanilla extract and whole milk
Step 3: Transfer the dry ingredients into the mixing bowl of wet ingredients and combine
Step 4: Lightly grease the non-stick coated cooking plates
Step 5: Preheat the waffle maker
Step 6: Pour the waffle batter into the centre of each non-stick coated cooking plate, until they are approx. ¾ full
Step 7: Carefully close the lid and cook for approx. 5 minutes until golden brown

Tip: Serve with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream
