Potato Cakes Recipe

Ingredients

4-5 medium sized potatoes
1 tsp butter
2 tbsp flour
Splash milk
Salt
Sprinkle of baking powder

Method

Step 1: Peel your potatoes and chop them into 6, and add to a steamer pan and steam the potatoes until soft
Step 2: Once soft, leave the potatoes to cool slightly, then transfer to a large mixing bowl and mash well
Step 3: Mix through the butter, flour, a splash of milk, a pinch of salt, and baking powder, then divide the mixture into 4 and flatten each quarter into a circle and dust with flour
Step 4: Add 1 tbsp oil or butter to a frying pan, then add your potato cakes to brown on each side, this should take 2-3 minutes, then serve
