Air Fryer Crispy Chilli Beef Recipe
Delicious cooked in our XL Digital Hot Air Fryer EK2559
For the crispy beef
450g Beef Strips
4 tbsp Cornflour
2 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Chinese 5 Spice
1 tsp Chilli Powder
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Black Pepper
For the sauce
200ml Beef Stock
4 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
2 tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce
2 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Tomato Puree
1 tbsp Honey
1 tsp Ginger
2 Cloves Garlic, Crushed
2 Spring Onions, Chopped
1 Red Chilli, Chopped
1 Red Pepper, Sliced
1 Green Pepper, Sliced
Step 1: Add the cornflour, Chinese 5 spice, black pepper, salt, and chili powder to a bowl and stir together.
Step 2: Add beef strips to the bowl and ensure they are fully coated in cornflour mixture.
Step 3: Drizzle 1 tsp of sesame oil at the bottom of the air fryer and add the beef strips in a single layer. Top with another tsp of sesame oil.
Step 4: Cook the beef strips in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 200°C until crispy.
Step 5: Meanwhile, add together the soy sauce, tomato puree, sweet chili, honey, rice wine vinegar, beef stock, and 1 tbsp of sesame oil and stir thoroughly. Set aside.
Step 6: Heat up 1 tbsp of sesame oil in a frying pan and add the crushed garlic and chopped red chilli and stir together.
Step 7: Add the 2 chopped spring onions, sliced red pepper and sliced green pepper to the pan, then add your mixed together sauce and stir through all the vegetables and cook this on high heat until the sauce has thickened.
Step 8: Finally, add the crispy beef and coat it in the sauce.
Step 9: When everything is coated and cooked, serve with egg noodles or rice and top with fresh chilies, spring onions, and sesame seeds.
