Air Fryer Crispy Fried Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
- 3 chicken legs
- 50 g cornflakes
- 30 g all-purpose flour
- 40 ml buttermilk
- 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground sage
- salt and pepper, to taste
Method
- In a wide bowl or on a plate, season the flour with salt and pepper, then dip the chicken in the flour so it's fully coated, then shake off any excess.
- Place the cornflakes in a resealable bag and ensure there is no air in the bag before sealing, then crush the cornflakes with a rolling pin.
- In a large bowl, mix the buttermilk, mustard, cayenne pepper, paprika and sage, then dip the chicken in the buttermilk and coat in the crushed cornflakes.
- Spray the chicken with oil and place in a air fryer to cook for approximately 5-10 minutes.
- Reduce the temperature to and cook for a further 10-15 minutes, checking that the chicken is thoroughly cooked before serving.
