Crispy Fried Chicken Recipe
Delicious cooked in our EK2817 Compact Air Fryer
3 chicken legs
30g all-purpose flour
½ tbsp Dijon mustard
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp Cayenne pepper
¼ tsp ground sage
Salt and pepper, to taste
Step 1: In a wide bowl or on a plate, season the flour with salt and pepper, then dip the chicken in the flour so it’s fully coated, then shake off any excess.
Step 2: Place the cornflakes in a resealable bag and ensure there is no air in the bag before sealing, then crush the cornflakes with a rolling pin.
Step 3: In a large bowl, mix the buttermilk, mustard, cayenne pepper, paprika and sage, then dip the chicken in the buttermilk and coat in the crushed cornflakes.
Step 4: Spray the chicken with oil and place in a 200°C air fryer to cook for approximately 5-10 minutes.
Step 5: Reduce the temperature to 190°C and cook for a further 10-15 minutes, checking that the chicken is thoroughly cooked before serving.
