No, these Salt & Pepper Shakers are manual, therefore don't require any batteries!
Salt & Pepper Shakers are filled with pre-ground salt, pepper and seasonings. Whereas Salt & Pepper Mills require a twist motion to freshly grind the seasoning into smaller pieces.
To clean these Salt & Pepper Shakers, wipe them with a soft, damp cloth and allow to dy thoroughly. Do not immerse them in water or use chemical/abrasive cleaning agents and do not put them in the dishwasher.
Our Salt & Pepper Shakers have been designed to make refilling as easy as possible. To do so, simply unscrew the top and remove the lid, then add your salt or ground pepper.
