Crispy Brussel Sprouts with Bacon
Serves 4 people
1-2 tbsp olive oil
150g smoked bacon, chopped
500g brussel sprouts
3 garlic cloves, minced
Salt and pepper
Step 1: Half each sprout and cook in some salted boiling water for approximately 10 minutes, until just cooked. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Add 1 tbsp of oil to the frying pan and cook the bacon on a high heat until crispy.
Step 3: Add the sprouts into the pan along with the remaining oil, stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Once the sprouts have started to crisp, add the garlic and turn the heat down to medium. Cook for a further 5 minutes.
