Fried Cajun Salmon Recipe

Ingredients

910 g salmon fillets
380 g cornflour
3 eggs 
125 ml milk
125 ml lager
3 tbsp mustard
2 tbsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
½–1 tbsp Tabasco sauce
½–1 tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste)
Cooking spray

Method

Step 1: Whisk together the eggs, milk, lager, mustard, Tabasco, cayenne pepper, and half of the salt and pepper in a large bowl
Step 2: Cut the fish fillets into bite-sized pieces, dip in the egg mixture until fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for approx. 1 hour
Step 3: Mix the cornflour and the remaining salt and pepper in a shallow wide bowl or on a plate
Step 4: Remove the fish pieces from the egg mixture and dip into the cornflour, coating evenly
Step 5: Spray the fish pieces on all sides with cooking spray
Step 6: Plug in and switch on the air fryer at the mains power supply
Step 7: Set the temperature to 200 ºC and the time to approx. 15 mins and carefully place the fish pieces into the relevant cooking compartment
Step 8: Check that the fish is cooked through before serving
Step 9: Serve immediately with your choice of sides
