Homemade Mango Chutney Recipe

400g granulated sugar
450ml white wine vinegar
5 ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
100g raisins
50g finely chopped ginger
1 medium onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tsp mixed spices
1 tsp mustard seeds


Step 1: Combine the sugar and vinegar in a stainless-steel pan and let it simmer until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally
Step 2: Add all the remaining ingredients and allow the mixture to simmer, continuing to stir until thick and syrupy
Step 3: Simmer over a medium heat for approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes
