Easy Shortcrust Pastry Recipe
500g plain flour
250g butter, chopped into cubes and stored in the fridge
6 tbsp milk
Pinch of salt
Step 1: Sift the flour into a bowl and add the diced butter. Using your finger tips, rub together until a breadcrumb consistency is formed. Add a pinch of salt and mix again.
Step 2: Gradually add the milk until a dough is formed, you might not need to use the full amount.
Step 3: Add the dough to a floured surface. Using your hands bring it together and shape into a ball.
