Pork Steaks with Mustard, Herbs and Apple Recipe

2 pork steaks
1 red apple (diced)
½ red onion (diced)
1 ½ tsp fresh rosemary (roughly chopped)
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp vegetable oil
½ tsp fresh thyme (roughly chopped)
Salt and pepper, to taste


For the Steaks
Step 1: Season the pork steaks with salt and pepper
Step 2: Plug in and switch on the air fryer at the mains power supply
Step 3: Set the temperature to 200 ºC and the time to approx. 25 mins and carefully place the pork steaks into the relevant cooking compartment
Step 4: Check that the pork steaks are cooked through before serving

For the Apple Sauce
Step 1: While the pork steaks are cooking, make the sauce
Step 2: Soften the apple and onion in oil in a large frying pan on a medium heat for approx. 5 mins
Step 3: Turn down the heat. Stir in the mustard, rosemary, thyme, and leave to cook for 3–5 mins, and then remove from the heat
Step 4: After approx. 20 mins remove the pork steaks from the cooking compartment and spoon on the apple mixture
Step 5: Cook for a further 5 mins
Step 6: Remove the pork steaks from the air fryer and leave to rest for approx. 5 mins; slice diagonally into strips
Step 7: Serve immediately with your choice of sides
