Beef and Ale Stew Recipe

Ingredients

500g beef shin/beef skirt, diced
750ml beef stock
500ml bottle of ale
100g green beans, sliced
3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
2 large potatoes, peeled and quartered
1 large onion, thickly sliced
1 parsnip, peeled and sliced
1 turnip, peeled and quartered
1 sprig of rosemary, finely chopped
1 sprig of thyme, finely chopped
Plain flour
Vegetable oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Warm bread, to serve

Method

Step 1: Combine all ingredients into the ceramic cooking pot and stir thoroughly
Step 2: Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours
Step 3: Serve with warm bread or on a bed of rice
