Super easy to prepare using our EK2249 Deep Fill Waffle Maker
375g plain flour
230g pureed strawberries
480ml whole milk
4 beaten egg whites
4 beaten egg yolks
4 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp white sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Step 1: In a large bowl, mix together the plain flour, beaten egg whites, white sugar, baking powder and salt.
Step 2: Stir in the beaten egg yolks.
Step 3: Add the milk and butter, stirring until the waffle batter becomes lumpy.
Step 4: Mix in the pureed strawberries.
Step 5: Lightly grease the non-stick coated cooking plates.
Step 6: Preheat the waffle maker.
Step 7: Pour the waffle batter into the centre of each non-stick coated cooking plate, until they are approx. ¾ full.
Step 8: Carefully close the lid and cook for approx. 5 minutes, until golden brown.
Tip: Serve with fresh strawberries, icing sugar and double cream. Or for a decadent dessert, swap the double cream for a rich chocolate sauce.
