Crème Egg Chocolate Loaf Recipe

Ingredients

175g butter
175g caster sugar
140g self-raising flour
4 tbsp cocoa powder
85g ground almonds
3 eggs
½ tsp baking powder
100 ml whole milk
50g plain chocolate chips
150g white chocolate
3 Crème Eggs

Method

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 160° C
Step 2: In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar
Step 3: Add the flour, cocoa powder, ground almonds, eggs, baking powder and milk and whisk until well-combined
Step 4: Mix in the chocolate chips then add the mixture to a lined loaf tin
Step 5: Bake for 40-50 minutes
Step 6: Melt the white chocolate and pour over the loaf cake once it is cooked and cooled
Step 7: Chop the Crème Eggs in half and place them on top of the loaf cake
Step 8: Dye a small amount of white chocolate orange using food colouring and drizzle this over the loaf
