Guinness Stew

Cooked to perfection in our BW02986G Marble Collection Pans



2 tbsp olive oil
1 kg diced beef
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 onion, diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
50g flour
300ml Guinness
800ml beef stock
3 large carrots, chopped
500g baby potatoes
3 tbsp tomato paste
1 bay leaf
1 tsp thyme
Parsley, chopped


Step 1: Add olive oil, diced beef, salt and pepper to a pan
Step 2: Cook on medium heat until browned
Step 3: Remove beef from the pan
Step 4: Dice an onion and sauté for 5 minutes
Step 5: Add garlic cloves and flour and mix until it thickens
Step 6: Add Guinness to the pan and stir
Step 7: Add beef stock
Step 8: Add carrots, baby potatoes, tomato pasta, bay leaf and thyme to the pan and stir
Step 9: Add cooked beef
Step 10: Bring to a boil
Step 11: Leave to simmer on a low heat for 1-2 hours
Step 12: Top stew with chopped parsley
