  • 270 g medjool dates
  • 3 tbsp oat flour
  • 3 tbsp cacao powder
  • 25-30 g (1 scoop) chocolate protein powder
  • 2 tbsp almond or cashew butter
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt

For the chocolate coating

  • 85 g chocolate chips
  • 0.25 tsp coconut oil
  • Flaky sea salt, to top

Method

  1. Add the dates, oat flour, cacao powder, protein powder, nut butter and sea salt to a food processor and blend until the mixture forms a dough consistency.
  2. Split the dough into 12 pieces and roll each into a small ball shape.
  3. Place each of the balls into the wells in the cooking plate.
  4. Cook for 7–10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a bowl and stir once melted.
  6. Use a spoon to dip the balls into the melted chocolate, making sure they are fully coated.
  7. Place the balls on a tray and sprinkle with sea salt.
  8. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.
