- 250 g plain flour
- 360 ml whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 6 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp white sugar
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 6 rashers of cooked bacon
- maple syrup, to serve
Method
- In a large bowl, mix together the plain flour, white sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until fluffy. Add the melted butter, vanilla extract, and whole milk.
- Transfer the dry ingredients into the bowl with the wet ingredients and whisk to combine.
- Lightly grease the waffle maker's cooking plates and preheat the waffle maker.
- Pour the waffle batter into the centre of each non-stick cooking plate until they are approximately 3/4 full.
- Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
- Top the waffles with the cooked bacon and a drizzle of maple syrup to serve.
