Ham and Cheese Tarts Recipe
Makes 2 tarts
Perfect in our Deep Fill Pie Maker
Ingredients
1/3 portion of shortcrust pastry
100g grated cheddar cheese
80g cooked ham, cut into 1cm pieces
2 medium eggs
100ml cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
Method
Step 1: In a small bowl, mix together the eggs, then add the cream and whisk until well combined, then add the ham and cheese to the mixture and season with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Divide the pastry in half and roll out, then use the large side on the pastry cutter to cut the base.
Step 3: Line each pie mould with a pastry base, then add the filling to just below the rim and close the pie maker, cooking the pies for approx. 10 minutes until well-browned.
Step 4: Once cooked, switch off the pie maker and use a heat-resistant plastic or wooden spatula to remove the pies from the pie maker and serve.
