Waffles with Yoghurt, Berries and Maple Syrup Recipe

4 eggs
300g plain flour
½ tsp baking soda
2 tbsp caster sugar
50g butter
600ml semi-skimmed milk


Step one: heat up your waffle maker
Step two: separate your eggs and then whisk the egg whites into stiff peaks
Step three: in a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and sugar with a pinch of salt
Step four: make a well in the centre and add the egg yolks and melted butter
Step five: start to mix and whilst whisking slowly add milk, until you get a smooth and thick batter
Step six: use a ladle to pour your batter into the waffle maker and cook until golden brown
Step seven: once you have used all your batter and made your waffles, serve with yoghurt, berries and maple syrup
Step eight: optionally heat your berries before serving to make a compote and enjoy!
