Waffles with Yoghurt, Berries and Maple Syrup Recipe

Ingredients

4 eggs
300g plain flour
½ tsp baking soda
2 tbsp caster sugar
50g butter
600ml semi-skimmed milk

Method

Step 1: Heat up your waffle maker.
Step 2: Separate your eggs and then whisk the egg whites into stiff peaks.
Step 3: In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and sugar with a pinch of salt.
Step 4: Make a well in the centre and add the egg yolks and melted butter.
Step 5: Start to mix and whilst whisking slowly add milk, until you get a smooth and thick batter.
Step 6: Use a ladle to pour your batter into the waffle maker and cook until golden brown.
Step 7: Once you have used all your batter and made your waffles, serve with yoghurt, berries and maple syrup.
Step 8: Optionally heat your berries before serving to make a compote and enjoy!
